About StoneFlower Therapy…
This background image reflects the foundation of Stoneflower Therapy, PLLC: meaningful growth often happens in difficult ground.
The creosote flower pushing through rock represents resilience under pressure—growth shaped not by ideal conditions, but by persistence, adaptation, and survival. Even in scarcity, something strong and meaningful can still take root.
Stoneflower’s motto is, “Rooted in strength, made to bloom,” and it reflects the therapeutic process. Strength isn’t created in therapy—it already exists. The work is about uncovering it, strengthening it, and creating space for real, sustainable change.
The simplicity of the flower against open sky reflects clarity and space. Healing isn’t usually linear or dramatic—it’s small shifts, quiet persistence, and moments of relief that build over time.
At its core, Stoneflower Therapy holds the belief that people are not defined by what they’ve endured, but by their capacity to keep growing through it.
Maya Braden, LPC
About Me…
Hello! My Name is Maya Braden, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in San Antonio, Texas. I have a master’s in clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in military families and culture. I’m also a Certified DBT Therapist and a member of the ACA.
My approach is eclectic and tailored, drawing from DBT, CBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing as well as other modalities to meet you where you are and help you move forward in a way that fits specifically for you.
I’ve worked in mental health since 2018, starting in a psychiatric hospital where I gained broad experience with a wide range of diagnoses and acute care needs. That foundation, combined with my private practice work, has shaped a grounded, trauma-informed, and practical style.
I bring compassion, honesty, and the belief that YOU are the expert of your own life. This space is here to support, not steer. Treatment is collaborative and tailored, honoring your autonomy, your voice, and the unique way your story unfolds.
I work with adolescents (13 and up) and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, chronic illness, and neurodivergence.
